Ready to unlock your abilities and get creative? Want to learn how to use your whole body as a part of your instrument? Interested in singing the types of music you care about most?
You’re in the right place. My name is Corie, and I’m passionate about helping singers learn to use their instrument in the most efficient, effective way possible in whatever genres they’re most passionate about. (My passion + your passion = one winning combo!)
In addition to my work with GRVC, I am an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University. I earned my M.M. in Voice Performance & Pedagogy at Penn State University, where my unique training combined voice science, physiology, yoga, and crossed over a ton of musical genres. I’m also an active professional performer, and I love to share those real-world experiences with my singers to help them grow as artists.
Current and former singers in my studio have been accepted to programs like Interlochen, University of Michigan, Shenandoah Conservatory, Boston Conservatory, University of Oklahoma, Ithaca College, and more. They’re also seen performing all around Grand Rapids Civic Theater, Circle Theater, Stage GR, Shadblow Theater, and Caledonia Players (just to name a few).
If you’ve been looking for personalized lessons to help you combine technique and artistry, look no further. See you in the studio!
