I don’t view the voice as “just” an instrument. I view it as an embodiment of all that we are, and all that we have ever been through, moving out to heal ourselves and the world in ripples of vibration. Our voice is our connection to each other, to ourselves, and to our planet. It is the tool of transmutation and emotional and energetic outlet. It is freedom. It is sovereignty. It is magic. It is unity.

My personal vocal experience includes professional training in pop, rock, musical theatre, jazz, opera, and choral music. I started lessons at age 7 in Los Angeles, where I was born and raised, and continued through multiple genres before attending Interlochen Arts Academy to study classical voice and songwriting. While at the University of Michigan, I took private voice lessons through the School of Music and also joined a metal band. I have extensively explored the technical and performance aspects of healthy metal vocals.

My extensive studio and band experience has also given me a passion for working with singer/songwriters. Speaking from personal experience, the journey of the singer/songwriter is not for the faint of heart. We are birthing music into this world, and it takes strength & vulnerability to bring that into a space to be equally witnessed and workshopped.

If you’re a singer/songwriter, a metal vocalist, or someone who wants to know what it means to sing with your whole body, I can’t wait to work with you!

In my free time, you can find me doing open mics around town, taking walks in the woods, writing by the fire, or hanging out with friends and family.
